For Wedding Photographers Tired of Trying Everything and Still Feeling Stuck
You’re doing most of the right things.
✔️ Your work is solid
✔️ You’re posting consistently
✔️ You’ve invested in education
✔️ You’ve tried SEO / IG / referrals / ads / networking
✔️ You’re not lazy
✔️ You’re not clueless
And yet, somehow:
Here’s the uncomfortable truth nobody wants to say out loud:
Most photographers don’t have a marketing problem.
They have a SYSTEM problem.
And worse yet, they don’t even know which part is broken.

Over the past 17 years, my team and I have photographed over 1,600+ weddings through our multiple photography brands in one of the most saturated markets in the universe, New York City.
We book through:
And here’s the part people don’t expect: 2025 wasn’t some magical, effortless year. The only reason things didn’t fall apart was because we didn't rely on one golden goose. Instead, we run a well-oiled marketing system (with multiple golden geese).
My objective as an industry educator is handing students that system, without fluff, without guru cosplay, and without pretending any of this is easy (because it's definitely not).
If there’s one thing I’ve also learned, it’s this: when a hammer is all you have, everything starts to look like a nail.
Many wedding pros get stuck chasing one strategy… Instagram, SEO, ads, referrals… hoping that one thing will fix everything.
That’s not how real businesses work.
We’ve built ours by using the entire toolbox. Traffic, relationships, brand positioning, and conversion… all working together as part of a bigger system.
I’ve been in sales and marketing for over 25 years, starting at the very respectable age of 8 selling water guns on a street corner in NYC. Since then, I’ve spent my career learning how people make decisions, what builds trust, and why most marketing gets ignored… even when it looks good on paper.
These days, I split my time between running the business, teaching, hosting the Focused AF Podcast, and being a dad to two teenage boys… which mostly means I’m an unpaid Uber driver and occasional life coach. We also have what is objectively New Jersey’s cutest dog (@elly_thegreat), who contributes nothing to the business but keeps morale high.
Everything I teach comes from what’s working right now… not theory, not recycled advice, and not from someone who left the industry years ago.
Every talk, workshop, or session is tailored to the room. Some go deep on one area. Others connect the full system. The goal isn’t to overwhelm you with tactics… it’s to help you understand what actually moves the needle.
1. Building Attention
How do the right people find you in the first place? This is about creating consistent visibility without relying on luck, algorithms, or a massive following. We’ll talk about how SEO, social media, ads, and content actually work together…and why more visibility doesn’t always mean more bookings.
2. Positioning & Brand
Getting seen is one thing. Giving people a reason to care is another. This is where we look at how you’re presenting yourself… your work, your messaging, your pricing, your overall brand… and whether it actually makes sense to the people you’re trying to attract.
3. Relationships & Trust
This is where most sustainable businesses are built. Not just networking, but real relationships that lead to referrals, repeat work, and long-term trust. We’ll break down how those relationships are formed, maintained, and leveraged… without feeling transactional or forced.
4 - Conversions
At some point, interest has to turn into bookings. This is where most people either overcomplicate things or avoid them entirely. We’ll simplify what actually needs to happen between inquiry and booking… so it feels natural, aligned, and not like a sales battle.
5 - Bringing it all together
Most photographers focus on one area and hope it carries their business. That’s usually where things break. This is about understanding how attention, positioning, relationships, and conversion all connect… and figuring out where your actual bottleneck is.

I share a lot of this for free.
You can check out the Focused AF Podcast, where we talk shop with people in the industry, break down what’s working, and call out what isn’t.
I also run a free Facebook group where I go live regularly, answer questions, and teach this stuff in real time.
No gatekeeping, no funnels… just showing up and helping people get unstuck.
