We first met Christina & Alex at another wedding, where they both (as MOH and fiance-of-MOH, respectively) took great lengths to ensure the day went smoothly for her best friend and new husband. True to their nature in the medical profession, they took care of all the revelers who had (ahem) taken the wedding celebrations to levels I’d only ever had the pleasure of documenting a handful of times in my career :).
Aside from being all-around nice people, they’re also huge fans of one particular zombie drama – which makes them even more super-duper awesome in my book. Apparently, there was a Maggie & Glenn photoshoot which took place right under my nose and I never even knew it existed…until now. For a brief moment, I was convinced Christina & Alex wanted to do this other zombie engagement session, with shovels, stakes and blood galore, but they were kind enough to spare us from having to employ Karis as our zombie stand-in for yet another engagement session!
We started their engagement session where their entire romance started – as high school sweethearts at Brooklyn Technical High School, home of one of the largest performance spaces in New York City (depending on whom you ask). We then headed to Central Park afterwards for Part Deux of our adventures that day: our interpretation of a non-zombie-themed engagement session :).
