So it’s no secret that Brooklyn is my favorite borough – I may be biased, of course. Though I now call NJ my home, Brooklyn will always be like a favorite old coat (for me, anyway); so many memories, so familiar, and only I know that the zipper’s broken and there’s a coin-sized hole in the pocket. All of that never mattered, because it was mine, and it was home. As luck would have it, Kate & John currently hang their hats not too far from where I grew up. Lots have changed since I left over 20 years ago (egads, I can’t believe it’s been that many years), but I’m glad to see that some of the fixtures from my childhood have remained intact (my accountant, for one…and of course my fave pizzaria!). Kate & John wanted a low-key engagement session, which started in their gorgeous brownstone apartment (complete with all the original hardwood, built-ins and trimmings). And of course, no Brooklyn engagement session would be complete without a quick stop over at Prospect Park!
