[Engagement] Jenny & Jeff – Philadelphia, PA

Engagement session in Philadelphia, PA. Captured by awesome NJ wedding photographer Ben Lau. Jenny and Jeff hail from my old stomping grounds of Philadelphia, which also happens to be where my darling wife and I met many years ago. Needless to say, the city has a special place in our hearts, as it does for Jenny and Jeff! Though I’d worked and played throughout most of the usual watering holes throughout Philly, I was excited to explore some of the more unconventional nooks that Jenny and Jeff had planned for their engagement session. Furthermore, I was super-excited that I would be reuniting with another one of my fave hair/make-up professionals (Beauty by Loretta), who also made the trek down from NYC to help make Jenny and Jeff’s engagement session sensational :).

Big congrats to Jenny and Jeff (and Tank the Dog!) for surviving such a Summer-y engagement session in the City of Brotherly Love. Thank you for not only being exceptional subjects, but pretty awesome-tastic tour guides as well! We hope you enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed capturing them and we can’t wait to see you guys again in a few more months!

As for us here at BLP Headquarters, we’ve got plenty of work to do as we gear up for the 2nd leg of the 2012 wedding season. This means going to the doctor’s for the cough I’ve been nursing for the past 3 weeks. Turns out my airways were inflamed, probably from all the smoking I used to do in my younger days (I’ve been smoke-free since 2006!), which has been exacerbated by this awesome air quality we’ve been having here in the NYC area . I now serve as a walking (and semi-breathing) public service announcement as to why smoking is bad (not sure if I could ever leave the Big Apple though, or NJ for that matter). Got that? No smoking, kiddos!

Hooray for breathing :).
