I remember my first phone conversation with Patricia, because her initial email inquiry left me with so many questions that were just dying to be answered. ‘Wait a minute!’ I asked her, ‘so your fiancé isn’t the Kirk Cameron, is he?’
“No.” she starts laughing. No, he’s definitely not the Kirk Cameron.
During our first conversation, I would eventually discover that our groom-to-be Kirk is a second-generation photographer, while our bride-to-be Patricia was in fact (ironically enough), a divorce lawyer-in-training. Awesome doesn’t even begin describe how wonderfully delightful that first conversation went. Needless to say, it’s always an honor (and occasionally nerve-wracking) when a fellow photographer appreciates our work. And equally so, it’s always a tremendous honor to be the wedding photographer our brides & grooms choose to document their special day. In Patricia & Kirk’s case we were batting 2 for 2, so high-fives all around :).
These two lovebirds hail from my childhood stomping grounds of Brooklyn, which served as a backdrop for their romantic and fun engagement session in Prospect Park. Here’s a peek of our little adventure:
