In all the years that I’ve been doing wedding photography, I’ll have to admit that we’ve been pretty lucky with the weather. Generally speaking, it doesn’t rain when it’s time to do portraits. Sure, it may rain on a wedding day, but something magical (usually) happens when it’s time for portraits: the clouds just simply…”disappear”. But of course, I knew in the back of my mind that my luck would eventually run out sooner or later. If there were any couple in the universe that I would spend a rainy day with, it would certainly be with these two lovebirds. Yasmin & Rigel’s wedding celebration at the Manor in West Orange has been on my calendar for quite some time now – partially because they’ve loved our work for so long, and partially because the Cathedral Basilica in Newark boasts one of the longest waiting lists on this side of the Western hemisphere – and for good reason: this place is unbelievably, undeniably, jaw-droppingly gorgeous. And of course, the bride and groom aren’t too shabby themselves :).
