As a wedding photographer in the NYC metropolitan area, there are very few notable places in the city that I haven’t already used as a backdrop for my work. I keep an inventory of all these locations should the opportunities ever arise. My clients will often opt for something that’s a little bit more sentimental and unassuming, like a neighborhood cafe or park where they shared their first date. Sometimes, these requested locations just-so-happens to be on my ever-growing  to-visit list. In Sheila and Joe’s case, they wanted to kick off their session right where it all started: in Washington Square Park, the heart of the NYU campus where they first met as college freshmen. We started bright and early that morning, to the smell of coffee and bagel carts along the street corner.
