This was the wedding that caught us entirely by surprise. I remember looking (and feeling) haggard after a weekend of non-stop shooting, and waiting for the Megabus in Baltimore to take me back home to NY. I was sweaty, tired and overwhelmed with duffle bags filled with my gear. But when you meet old friends at a bus stop, most of that doesn’t matter anyway :). We chatted for a bit, exchanged numbers and parted ways when we finally arrived in Midtown later that evening. Fast forward a few weeks later, Â I received a surprise email from Rowie and Justin, and the rest was history :).
Rowie and Justin were high school sweethearts. While it’s not entirely clear why it took them so long to tie the knot, it was quite apparent at this point that they were pretty much an old married couple already :). Photographing friends definitely has its benefits, least of which has everything to do with the fact that I’ve crossed paths with a good portion of the guest list at one time or another. It was a mini-reunion for me, and the resumption of my role as the designated camera-guy at all the parties from years ago. Only this time, I brought a bigger camera and a backup team!
Sneak peeks for now, please stay tuned for more!
As for us, we’ve got a 5:30am prep tomorrow, followed by a quick trip back to Bmore on Sunday. It’s going to be a busy weekend for us!
Hope you guys have a fabulous weekend :).
