Imagine going into a restaurant. The waitstaff warmly greets you at the door, invites you to your table, and as any good restaurant does, begins reciting the day’s specials. Now instead of picking one of the meticulously-described items on the fancy menu, you basically tell the chef “Surprise me. We just want you to do whatever it is you do in that kitchen, and just blow our minds.” And that, my friends, pretty much sums up one of the first conversations we ever had with Audra & Israel, as we sat in (ironically enough) a little diner in Union, NJ. As far as wedding photography goes, our clients have generally fallen into one of following categories: (1) The ones who know exactly what they want. (2) The ones who have no idea what they want. (3) The ones who basically hands the reins over to me and say “Just do what you do.”
You don’t have to tell us twice :).
Battello Restaurant is a waterfront restaurant with amazing views of the Manhattan skyline. Why I’ve never shot a wedding at this gem of a place will forever remain a mystery. Along with its amazing views, the food and interior space is just impeccable: it’s no wonder why this fellow photographer chose this place to host their wonderful celebration.
