I remember on the morning of my wedding day over 11 years ago, I had inexplicable urge to run (around the block, not from the altar). 1 block turned into 2 blocks, 2 blocks turned into 3 miles. 3 miles would’ve turned to 5 if I hadn’t dragged my non-running groomsmen out with me that morning. But nevertheless, the Fall breeze felt great on my face, and I was ready to tackle one of the most important days in my life.
Fast forward 11 years, avid runners Ali & Elliot had THE SAME EXACT IDEA. But instead of just inviting the bridal party along for their run, ALL of the guests (including their trusty photographer) were invited to partake in this 3 mile “fun run” on the morning of their wedding. When they first proposed this idea to me, my response was: “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!” Truth be told, I was going to soak in some of that magical air they have up there in the Poconos anyhow – and now I would be doing it with pretty much everyone on the guest list :).
Ali & Elliot said their “I do’s” on the lake at Bryn Mawr Campground, and the entire weekend’s festivities were 100% filled with the things that were most important to them: love, family, and friendship (with a little bit of running thrown in). I don’t think they could’ve asked for a more perfect wedding celebration!
