Stacey’s & Mark’s wedding in Central Park reminded me of all the things that are important when two lives are finally joined as one. I saw it in the newly unboxed legos that were shrewn across Stacey’s suite, as her new daughter placed the finishing touches on her veil. I saw it in the moment as Mark’s new son adjusted his boutonnire for the millionth time. No fanfare, parades or extravagant guest lists; just two families coming together to celebrate one of the most special days in all of their lives in the most intimate, happy way possible.
So that was one of two takeaways I had from this wedding. The other took place during our photoshoot in DUMBO Brooklyn, when a nondescript black SUV screeches to a halt behind us. The tinted windows roll down and asks about our bride’s shoes.
As it turns out, it was the wife of the shoe’s designer, and she wanted to do an impromptu photo shoot with a bride wearing her husband’s shoes. How does this even happen?!!?
