It’s been said that the friends you make in high school are the ones you end up keeping for a lifetime. For most of us, this is definitely the case (I know it’s true for both myself and Karis, as we still talk to our BFFs from high school)!
So let’s say the both of you hit all your milestones in life together: you get married, have kids, start a career – all roughly around the same time. And what if, by some wacky anomaly in the universe, both your adolescent children start acting odd around each other during the family trips and parties. It’s sure to raise a few eyebrows, but really – what are the chances?
But believe it or not, sometimes truth is stranger than fiction because this is exactly how the story of Victoria & Robert began. Fast forward almost a decade later, these two BFFs (Victoria & Robert’s mothers) would officially become in-laws, which is probably the most incredible story I’ve ever heard in my career as a wedding photographer.
Oh – but we’re just getting started!
When we found out that Victoria & Robert had decided to share their wedding date with her parents’ wedding anniversary, and it was simply one of the sweetest gestures we’d ever had the privilege of documenting.
(And whoever’s cutting onions in my office at this moment is going to have hell to pay!)
With their wedding celebration at the Lyndhurst Castle in Tarrytown, these two families celebrated a love story that was just as beautiful as it was inevitable. When friends become family (quite literally), it’s one of those special gifts that exceeds all imagination. And honestly, we were absolutely honored to have played a small role in documenting such a momentous occasion!
