May is one of a 100+ cousins that I have…on my dad’s side! (And don’t even get me started on my mom’s side!) She also happens to be the older sister of another cousin whom we’ve had the pleasure of photographing last year. When we first met Lee, we thought he was a pretty swell guy: smart, kind and most of all, made May and Haley two of the most happiest girls in the world. And if he’s willing to put up with our family’s crazies, he’s beyond fine in our book! Fast forward to the present day, they approached me documenting their special day. Of course, I was beyond thrilled and honored to be capturing this awesome milestone.
In lieu of a full-out engagement session, we opted for a civil ceremony with some portraits afterwards. It’s a slight twist from our normal workflow, but it accomplishes all our goals just the same. Plus, Haley gets a day off from school to celebrate this momentous occasion :).

May and Lee (and Haley!), thank you so much for having us be a part of your special day. We can’t wait to see you guys again in a few more months, and we wish you guys the very best as you embark on this journey towards happily ever after. We hope you enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed capturing them!
As for us – the weekend is finally here, and it’s one of the few weekends we won’t be shooting this year. We will however, be sitting in front of the geek-box playing catchup, perofrm some general housekeeping, as well as working on some goodies we have in store for all of you in the very near future :).
