Jen & Steve had originally wanted to do their engagement session on the Jersey Shore, likely our first trip to the beach this season. But on the day of their engagement session, the forecast predicted that it was going to be cold, gloomy and wet – not exactly the kind of weather that’s appropriate for frolicking in the sand. This called for a change of plans. After some serious brainstorming and (praying to the weather gods), we managed to find an open window of about 1 hour where we could frolic in an open field at the NJ Botanical gardens. This was then followed up with a quick stop at one of my favorite coffee shops in Jersey City. In the end, everything worked out, as it always does :). It’s a common misconception that we need sunshine and light fluffy clouds for portrait time; in the end, all we need is the love between our two subjects. Everything else is secondary.
