If you have been living in New Jersey long enough, and you've spent any amount of time along it's gorgeous waterfront, you'll eventually come to the realization that many of the most picture-perfect spots are simply teeming with tourists and locals on any given weekend.
If the weather is nice outside? You can forget about it.
And speaking as a professional wedding photographer (who's been doing this for a very long time), there is absolutely nothing worse than a picture-perfect photo ruined by a parade of tourists behind the beautiful couple (in this case, you), and they're all wearing giant foam Statue of Liberty crowns on their heads.
You deserve better than that.
Of course, everything is a little bit comical in hindsight - it's not so funny when you are on a tight timeline trying to get some nice wedding photos.
Luckily for newly engaged couples like you, The Hudson House is the perfect waterfront wedding venue for folks who LOVE the views AND relative privacy on their wedding day.
We get it.
There is a certain peace of mind that comes with knowing your wedding photographer has been to your venue before.
The truth is, I've never been to your venue before (although I've worked at many other Landmark venues just like it). Additionally, at this point in my 15+ years as a wedding photographer, I'm pretty confident we're going to create some photo magic on your wedding day at The Hudson House.
But if you're still unconvinced, this is precisely why I'm offering a $500 discount to 3 lucky couples who'll be hosting their wedding at Hudson House in 2025.
Simply inquire below to redeem. That's it!

Space. Like its sister properties Liberty House and The View in Lincoln Park , you'll enjoy several levels of contemporary, modern spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows, with wrap-around patios, offering amazing views for you and your guests on your wedding day. Located on the southern tip of Port Liberte, this venue offers relative privacy compared other venues along the Hudson River.
From its rooftop, you'll have unobstructed views of lower Manhattan, Statue of Liberty, as well as the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Verrazano Bridges.
Convenient photo locations. With the Hudson River waterfront right at it's doorstep, as well as the venue's gorgeous terraces and rooftops looking over the NYC skyline, your photographer will have plenty of options, both indoors and outdoors.
Food & Service. As one of the venues of the Landmark Hospitality group, you have absolutely nothing to worry about in these departments!
Convenience. Located just 20 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from downtown Jersey City, and minutes from the NJ Turnpike, you and your guests won't have to travel very far to celebrate with you.
Please enjoy some of my fave images from my portfolio, with some at venues similar to Hudson House!
Want the best photos at Hudson House? Then you'll want to read this!
The Liberty State Park is about a 5-10 minute drive from here. With such proximity to NYC, it might seem very tempting to just head on over to Liberty State Park get get some wedding photos even closer to the NYC skyline. If that's what you want, simply build that time into the schedule. If you want to hit two birds with one stone, book a hotel on the water (like Hyatt Exchange Place or Hyatt House) so you can get your NYC photos before heading over to the venue.
But if you're like most folks, a photo on the rooftop will do just fine - and you'll have more time to enjoy your party!
Shooting indoors will require a bit of experience & skill. In the event of inclement weather on your wedding day, your default photo option will be shooting indoors, and here's the cold honest truth: not all photographers excel at shooting indoors, neither with window light nor with artificial lights. And while this wedding venue does offer many compositional gifts, both indoors and outdoors, it would require a skilled & experienced photographer in order to take advantage of all of it. When in doubt, asked to see some portfolio for some rainy day weddings at the The View, and specifically look for some indoor shots. For your convenience, I've included some of ours here.
