I remember meeting Jay for the first time during their engagement session last spring. He’d just come off a red eye flight from Texas earlier that morning, with the sole mission of tackling their ever-looming wedding-day checklist – least of which was an engagement session with yours truly (which ironically involved the consumption of copious amounts of Red Eyes). As the local half of this dynamic duo, Diana was tasked with a monumental load of wedding planning due to Jay’s work obligations in Texas. Jay, like most soon-to-be-married men, simply wanted his future-wife to be happy (smart man!). He had only one request: he did NOT want to do a first look. I smiled to myself and watched this lover’s quarrel unfold in my rear view mirror. I smiled, because I’m a married man who already knew how this was going to end :).
One year later, Diana & Jay’s wedding day at the Liberty House started nearby in a cozy suite at the Double Tree in Jersey City overlooking the Hudson River. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.
