Fresh off our five week long semi-vacation (which honestly felt more like five years), Yuhli & Jason’s wedding at the Liberty House in Jersey City was the first wedding on our schedule this past summer. Though I had (mostly) recovered from jetlag, and all things pickled and spiced, I’d somehow caught an asthmatic cough – a farewell, parting gift from Beijing, if you will. Undeterred, I powered through my first weekend back, equipped with several bags of lozenges and an interesting inventory of hand signals and facial contortions to communicate to my couple (hey, whatever gets the job done!). There was a brief shower on the morning of Yuhli & Jason’s wedding, but as many of my couples already know: it (generally) doesn’t rain when it’s time for me to shoot. Thank God I was able to keep my word for this wedding day!
