Winter weddings in Northern Jersey can be a tricky affair, mostly because Mother Nature can’t seem to decide if she wants to wear a furry shawl or a fun spaghetti strap sun dress :). On the week of Rebecca & Robi’s wedding at the Maritime Parc, Northern Jersey experienced 70° weather at the beginning of the week, only to be greeted with the first official snow storm of the season – just in time for their big day. We were hopeful, of course: combined with the likelihood we were looking at a relatively empty waterfront, and this couple’s previous life in much cooler climates, the opportunities for us to create some amazing wedding images were just too great to pass up. Armed with nothing but a fancy umbrella and my lighting assistant, we took to the icy Jersey City waterfront after their beautiful ceremony atop the Maritime Parc. Other notable features of this wedding included some pretty awesome super-hero cufflinks, creative DIY centerpieces featuring produce items, as well as giant sized posters of the groom during his awesome teenage years!
