Somewhere in the universe, there’s an employee handbook that (probably) states that fraternization among your fellow colleagues is strictly verboten (or at the very least, highly discouraged). This imaginary handbook probably sits on top of a huge pile of other similar handbooks, which were likely distributed to all its intended recipients but were never read (seriously, who reads these things anyway?). The rules were deliberately written by all the suits & ties in HR and are there for good reason: nobody wants an awkward workplace if things go sour. But of course, Veronica & EJ never had to worry about that :). It wouldn’t be long before Veronica & EJ would find themselves sharing their first dance on their wedding night at Mayfair Farms. No handbook in the universe could ever change that.
