Despite having photographed several weddings here at NYIT De Seversky Mansion, this place never ceases to amaze me. I mean, have you ever seen such an amazing spread of cocktail food? They’ve got these meatball things on what can only be described as a yellow dollop of an umami explosion (mashed sweet potato or yam, perhaps?) which was nothing short of mind-blowing. And you know what else was mind-blowing? This couple :). Not only did they give us all the time in the world for their portraits, they were willing participants with my twisted sense of humor (fart jokes, anyone?), and had assembled one of the most amusing bridal parties I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. Their big day started with a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony in the library with the bride in her traditional qipao, before changing into their western attire for their ceremony in the sun room. With the weather slightly warming up for spring, they couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!
