There appears to be a trend this past month or so where I’ve been shooting high school/college sweethearts, and I think that’s pretty awesome. When a couple has been together for that long, there’s a sense of comfort and familiarity in each other’s humor, quirks and sensibilities. Their body chemistry between each other just flows, and my work then becomes pretty ridiculously easy at that point. If this is the case for high school/college sweethearts, then what about middle school sweethearts? Was I about to photograph one of the easiest photo sessions in the universe? You betcha :). According to legend, a very brave adolescent Chris interrupted a father-daughter dance at Emma’s bat mitzvah (and lived to tell us about it), and the rest was ancient history. This Piermont engagement session tooks us from the quiet Hudson River waterfront, to the main streets of town, where they reminisced over coffee in some of the squishiest sofas I’ve ever seen :).
