Out of the bajillion engagement sessions we’ve photographed over the years, we’ve never had the pleasure of taking my couples to our town. It’s a small, tiny town in Northern NJ that managed to retain the Main Street charm of the 50’s. We can run all our errands on foot (when we’re not feeling too lazy), and even the Chinese take-out lady and the postal workers know my name. But familiarity aside, many of our couples opt for a more sexy, urban feel of nearby Jersey City or Hoboken, or a more outdoorsy feel at a not-so-nearby NJ Botanical Gardens. So I was beyond thrilled that Zoie & Daniel told us they were up for ANYTHING. As we made our way to Zoie & Daniel’s apartment, the weather forecast called for dense fog and a light rain, which was perfect for an indoor engagement session, with a quick stop over to our neck of the woods! And yes, I strongly believe that every engagement session should end with a healthy serving of Chinese take-out food :).
