Whenever we ask our clients how they envision their engagement session might look like, their answers are almost as unanimous as it is certain: “We want it to be fun.” But the challenge is of course, everyone defines “fun” in their own unique way. After further interrogation and Pinterest-stalking my clients, we usually get our answer – which is really an engagement session that deviates from the traditional route of engagement photography involving prom poses, fake smiles and standing in front of things (namely fountains and trees). Â In Michele and Bryan’s case, they were simply looking for something unusual and quirky. Lucky for them, we’ve got plenty inventory of “unusual” and “quirky”. So as we went through our list of unique engagement session ideas, this is what we came up with:
We’d start at a neighborhood bar in order to…erm…loosen up a bit.
There’s a good chance that we may have if we stayed longer :).
So after a few drinks, it was time to split. Voila! Instant wardrobe change!
Someone came up with the ingenius idea of throwing stuff…at each other.
Some of us were better at it than others.
We made a big mess.
And then this happened…
Michele 1 : Bryan 0.
The good news? I had permission to keep the confetti in their hair. Photoshopping all that would’ve taken me FOREVER.
Those props just kept on coming…
I would have to say, this was the first silly string duel I’ve EVER had the pleasure of documenting…for an engagement session!
Michele starts of strong, as Bryan has trouble getting his can to work. Michele 2: Bryan 0.
Bryan finally gets his can to work and hits his opponent without looking. Michele 2: Bryan 1.
Bryan laughs menacingly as Michele runs out of silly string.
Behind the back attack for extra points! Michele 2: Bryan 2. It’s a tie!
Congrats again you two. We can’t wait to get you guys in front of our cameras again :).
