The experience photographing a bride who’s a fellow photographer herself can be a little bit nerve-wracking, yet rewarding at the same time. They understand lighting, composition and colors just as I do, so they know exactly how to make my life as easy as possible on a typical wedding day. On that front, you certainly won’t hear any complaints coming from me :). Case in point: there was a sizable thermostat on the wall behind the bride during portrait time, and the bride knowingly scooted over about 6 inches to her left so that the thermostat was now in FULL VIEW. This perplexed some of the bridal party who were watching this unfold, but Melanie knew exactly what I knew: in just a few short months when they see the final images, nobody will even know that thermostat ever existed in the first place :).
