My fave tradition is our annual family adventures after the kids’ school year wraps up. With work and school from Sep-Jun, we don’t have too many opportunities to spend quality time together. Gotta get those in before they get too big :).

I’m super excited to be hosting my very first two-day workshop at the GORGEOUS @maritimeparc on June 24-25, where I’ll be covering marketing, lead generation and shooting, with live models and product demos with @pictime_us and @imagen.ai.

I’ll be teaching how over the past 16 years, we’ve maintained a fully booked calendar with our 3 brands (including @pearlpaperstudio and @heykaris) in one of the most saturated wedding marketplaces in the universe, NYC.

While we are technically sold out, I’m putting together a waiting list for anyone who might be interested in joining us for two days of jam-packed wedding photography education!

“What do we do when it rains?” is probably one of the most common questions we get asked as wedding photographers. For inquiring minds, your options are as follows:

1) Reschedule
2) Shoot outside
3) Shoot inside

These two lovebirds were just going to roll with it, regardless of what Mother Nature had planned for them. At the end of the day, nobody reschedules their wedding on the account of weather either.

But of course, it also doesn’t hurt to have the @thebeekmanny as your indoor option :).

Kate & Ed’s #dcengagementsession took me down memory lane as we visited many of my old haunts of a lifetime ago. From the #spanishsteps all the way to the #libraryofcongress, with a few quick stops between, I’d say we got some of the best the #dmv has to offer! Caught in the rain but totally unfazed—Jill & Jeff embraced every moment of their Boston engagement session, and I loved every second of documenting it. 🌧️✨⁠

These two met behind the decks as DJs, so naturally, their love story has a killer soundtrack (Daft Punk fans, anyone?). 🎶 We wandered the rainy streets, chased puddles, and even ducked into a cozy old record shop in Beacon Hill to warm up—and dig through some vinyl, of course.⁠

Flew in from NYC that morning, and honestly? Totally worth it for the vibes, the laughs, and the connection these two share. 💿💛⁠

“A wet knot is impossible to untie.” - Dana from @thelakehouseitc, according to the FoB speech.

I know everyone plans for an outdoor ceremony with 75° real feels and a light breeze for their wedding day. But at the end of the day, it’s all about the important people who came near and far to celebrate with one of the most magical days in your lives.

I recently heard a sentiment that many people desire a celebration just for photos, when it’s so much more liberating and stress-free when you desire photos of the celebration instead.

And I couldn’t be more thrilled that @oliviakrippahne and @mister_mike22 were living proof that the latter option was definitely the way to go :).
