Believe it or not, photographer’s freak out too. When we first found out about Sandy’s impending arrival, I checked my calendar to see which one of our clients were most at-risk. Yumi and Alan were at the top of that list. Their wedding venue’s Chelsea location put them right in Sandy’s crosshairs. Thankfully, the only hiccup they had to experience was finding somewhere else to get ready (their hotel was underwater). With a bit of resourcefulness, elbow grease, and some help from the awesome folks at Morans, Yumi and Alan’s awesome-tastic day went on without a hitch.
So we decided to put a relatively new tradition on its head.
Here’s our new take on the “first look”. Cute, huh?!
So a little background to this set. I “knew” where we going, but didn’t realize it was almost 10 blocks away! Not only were all the folks in the bridal party such great sports, they found some random picture frame and decided to bring it with us. As if we weren’t already calling attention to ourselves (simply by being a wedding party), we had this gimungo frame in tow. I’d say it was worth it!

Yumi and Alan – what can I say? You guys are AWESOME! We’re super glad that our paths crossed in the way it did, and we’re tremendously honored to capture such an important a part of your lives. Congratulations on your nuptials and we wish you two a lifetime of happiness.
As for us here at HQ, believe it or not, we still have more weddings coming your way! This time next week, we’re going to take a family nap!
