I spent most my formative years growing up as a cynical New Yorker, which means I’m constantly evaluating everyone’s intentions while stuffing my face with some of the most amazing bagels and slices of pizza mankind has ever known (#fact). Now that we’ve settled on the other side of the Hudson, I spend most of my time being a cynical New Jerseyan stuck in traffic while consuming an unreasonable amount of Dunkin Donuts’ coffee. Despite all this cynicism, carbs and calories in my life, I still believe there’s room for an occasional sprinkle of optimism. Good things ultimately happen to good people, which brings us to Susan & Andy’s story.
When Susan & Andy’s original venue made the news earlier this year, I was devastated – not just for them, but for all the couples who’d lost their sizable deposits and were basically left to fend for themselves. Long story short, we’re thrilled to report that there was a happy ending to all of this: Susan & Andy were not only able to recover 100% of their deposit, the venue where they ultimately celebrated their wedding day with their closest family & friends was simply perfect in every sense of the word. From the lighting, space and decor, it’s every bride & groom’s (and wedding photographer’s!) dream come true. The rain even stopped in time for guests to wander out and enjoy themselves in the quaint little green space behind the restaurant. No rain, no rainbows folks :).
