I’ve known Lisa and Cyrus long before there was ever a “Lisa & Cyrus”. The three of us went to college together when we still had a decent basketball team and Gary Williams was still king. This meant I’ve had the pleasure of getting front row seats to their blossoming relationship before my very eyes these past few years, via my newsfeed (I do check it from time to time!). And because I practically live on the internet, I can say with some authority that these guys are probably one of the cutest couples you’ll ever meet!
As testament to exactly how awesome they are, they came all the way up here from Maryland to do their engagement session in NYC! Â Not only that, their first location choice was precisely where I scouted just merely weeks prior. The location being only 15 minutes from our house was simply just the cherry on top.
Our day started at our top secret location in Uptown:
While I was laboriously slaving away behind the camera, I heard all this leisurely laughter going on behind me :).
Because “discreet” is my middle name, I told them to act natural when security rolled around.
That’s when they busted out with Mr. Roboto…with the jazz hands (I think).
After playing in uptown all morning, we headed downtown for the afternoon.
Lisa and Cyrus, we can’t thank you guys enough for coming all the way up here for your engagement session! But most of all, thank you for your continued friendship even after all these years. We can’t wait to see you guys again later this year!
Our balls-to-the-wall wedding season officially starts tomorrow, which means we’ll likely be subsisting on ramen and naps from now until November :). And you, my friends, all have front row seats to all this awesomeness!
