“You wanna shoot your engagement session where?!” I asked again, slightly unsure about what Erica & Howard were proposing. Having grown up in a typical Chinese household, I was no stranger to seemingly impossible tasks; my father was notorious for assigning me to ridiculously goose chases, just to see if I would succeed. Unbeknownst to me, this was just his own (strange) way of teaching me how to think outside of the box, and to be relentless when it came to problem-solving. So while these two lovebirds were sitting on my couch, concocting this pretty rad plan for their engagement session, I was half-thinking “Man, this is going to be so super epic!” while also half-thinking “Man, they’re so totally testing me! I’m going to have to think waaaay out of the box for this one!” So while we’re on the subject of boxes, we kicked off Erica & Howard’s engagement session with two of them, complete with chicken nuggets, juice boxes and action figures :). We totally colored outside the lines with this couple, and we’re so thankful they gave us the creative freedom to do just that!
