Making lemonade out of lemons. That’s been my mantra for much of my life. Well…that and a reasonably dependable sense of humor. It was probably a coping mechanism of sorts; a natural by-product of my lanky build and an ill-advised bowl-cut that I sported for almost 4 years (which by the way, is 4 years too many). But nevertheless, all it takes is a little bit of tragedy in life to help us all appreciate all of life’s little successes. And all it took was a minor weather anomaly (which pretty much brought NYC to its knees) to bring Yoonji & Sean together at their local bar, where Sean pretty much offered himself up as bait to lure in the catch of the century (not his words, but close enough). The weather gods and the stars were certainly aligned in their favor, and after that fateful night at their hometown bar, their destinies had been sealed. These two lovebirds now hang their hats in Jersey City, and were gracious enough to show me a slice of their life, their neighborhood, and their love of tacos with yours truly.
