“Look at all these dogs and their dog-walkers.” I said to them. “Wouldn’t it be cool if we borrowed one for our engagement session?” Giselle & Rory laughed, with coffees in one hand, and a bag full of clothes in the other. We navigated our way towards the heart of Central Park, with perfect timing. At that hour, we practically had Bethesda Arcade to ourselves, and it’s the only way we’ll ever want to shoot it. After years of shooting countless Central Park engagement sessions, I’m proud to say that I’ve finally figured out the unofficial schedule of the park:
5:00am-7:00am: Joggers
7:00am-9:00am: Dog walkers
8:30am: European tourists (by the handful, with small cameras in hand)
9:30am: Asian tourists (via cavalcade of buses, armed to the teeth with every conceivable piece of camera equipment known to man)
Then just as we started shooting, this happened:
This little fella just came out of nowhere and made himself comfortable next to Rory. You couldn’t have asked for better timing :).
