It’s no secret that I’m no stranger to occasionally trespassing on private property in order to get the shot. Of course, this was many years ago, when I was budding photographer with a penchant for getting into trouble all the time. Now I’m a slightly-more-experienced photographer, with the same penchant for getting into trouble all the time. The only difference? I’ve learned how to be more discreet, mostly by having this conversation with the couple prior entering supposedly “restricted” areas:
“Take off those heels and wear your flats…just in case we need to make a quick-getaway.”
“No, I’m not going to photograph your feet.”
“Wait 20 seconds before following me into another area, and whatever you do, have fun, look at each other adoringly and kiss each other every so often, aaaaaand….GO!”
