You can tell a lot about a person simply based on the company they keep. That’s what they say anyway. By this measure, Yilan & Han are two of the craziest, funniest, rug-cutting party animals you’ll want at every social function (weddings included!). For me, their wedding day encompassed all the key ingredients of the perfect wedding celebration: family, friends, food, music, dancing, and drinks flowing like the Niagara Falls.
The Audubon Center in Prospect Park has been one of those wedding venues that’s eluded me these past few years as a NYC wedding photographer. It’s just one of those charming venues where its history is just as rich as the scenery that surrounds it. As a Brooklyn native, this place has an especially significant for me; when I was a little boy, my father would take me and my brother to the lake to feed the wildlife and waterfowl (apparently, the habitual rule-breaking gene runs strong in our family). So it goes without saying, I was beyond thrilled when we discovered this was where Yilan & Han would be hosting their wedding celebrations…and we would be cordially invited to document this wonderful milestone for them.
