It’s a drive I used to do every morning; years ago when I first met Karis and endured a grueling 1.5 hour daily commute between Northern NJ and Philadelphia. But 6 years later, it’s a different kind of commute; one that I actually looked forward to, if not for the festive work environment, then certainly for the awesome folks who would be surrounding us that weekend. This alone made the pre-sunrise drive down the New Jersey Turnpike that morning all the more gratifying.
Kathleen and Tim’s wedding celebration would take place later that day at the Phoenixville Foundry, a 130 year-old icon of the nearby town which also bears its name. It was an imposing structure, with its stone walls and large windows pouring light into the wide open space within, revealing a row of restored furnaces and cranes that served as a subtle reminder of its once rich, industrial past. It was the perfect space for Kathleen and Tim’s wedding festivities; one that celebrated its past almost as much as it celebrated its present and future.
Their day started at the nearby Hilton in Valley Forge.
And of course, some photo booth fun :).

So our office at the moment resembles what it would look like if the Tasmanian Devil and the Giant Kool-Aid Guy had a wresting match in it. It’s an utter mess. Then there are days when we have to remind ourselves to feed the plants and water the kids. Yes, it was that kind of month. This past month has been a flurry of activity here, and we feel blessed to be capturing all of it. Be that as it may, wedding photographers need to do laundry and shower too :). But fear not, we’ve got some awesome engagement sessions coming your way, and we still have that huge announcement we’ve been dying to tell everyone! Please stay tuned, it’s going to be big…promise :).
Happy Tuesday ya’ll!
