Between my dad and his 2nd sister, they have 8 kids altogether. This is not even counting his brother and his other two sister’s kids (don’t even get me started on my mom’s side!). When all of us cousins became of marrying age, there was essentially a Big Fat Chinese Wedding EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND for a good 5 years. Â When we were young, our two families used to live across the hall from each other. So to say that we’re close would be the understatement of the century. Our two families celebrated many birthdays and life’s milestones together. Even though we disappeared to Maryland for a number of years, we never lost touch. Â Every time there was an outstretched hand, it was almost certain there would be another one just eagerly waiting to receive it. This, I learned, is exactly what being a family is about :).

Benson (brother), Kitty (aunt) and Chun (cousin) were also squeezed into that roomy Datsun that day.
So when my cousin May reached out to ask if I would like to document her wedding day, it was an absolute no-brainer.

May and Lee (and Haley!), thank you so much for sharing your day with us. It was a beautiful celebration of love and family, and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect day than this! We wish you guys many, many years of bliss and we truly hope you enjoyed these images as much as we enjoyed capturing them.
As for us here, we’re still rock’n and roll’n with our Fall weddings! The Lil Monsters are feeling a little better from some nasty virus they contracted earlier this week (only heaven knows where/how they got sick). We’ve still got more coming your way, so please stay tuned for more!
