When Karis agreed to marry me, she didn’t know we would be planning a Big Fat Chinese wedding (even though she’s super Korean). The first draft of our guest list contained no less than 800 names on it, which probably gave her some pause to reconsider her (marital) options. Ultimately, we ended up shaving it down to a more palatable number of 400 guests, as well as 2 ceremonies and 2 receptions spread over 3 separate non-contiguous days (on different months, no less). I mean seriously – who on earth could possibly try to fit all those needs into one day?

Though they were able to squeeze everyone into one reception (albeit a very large one), they still managed to coordinate two separate, all-out wedding ceremonies into one day! When you can’t decide on whether to have a church ceremony, or an outdoor ceremony at the beautiful West Hills Country Club – why not have both? We wrapped up that day’s festivities with a gorgeous tent wedding at the West Hills Country Club with an abundance of jubilant guests and delicious food. This wedding was a great success on all counts!
