Nobody wants rain on their wedding day, but if it’s going to happen, ⁠Perona Farms⁠ is a great venue for it. Despite less-than-ideal weather conditions, Olivia and Nick’s wedding day was beautiful because it was theirs. ⁠

Nick is a calm, composed guy, but it was obvious that Olivia took his breath away at several points during the day. ⁠The softening of his face, the gleam in his eye... It’s no wonder Olivia loves him and how he makes her feel. ⁠

These two work hard, play hard and live life to the fullest. And their wedding reflected that energy. ⁠

As Jen recited these words to David during their ceremony, it was apparent that everyone in the room agreed that these two are made for each other. ⁠

They weren’t a crazy bundle of nerves, but instead, they were excited and uber relaxed (much to David’s mom’s exasperation that he not pick up the pace when needed before the day’s activities). ⁠

From wedding prep to first look to portraits and all the moments to follow, there was ease, debatably good jokes, laughter and pure enjoyment. ⁠

Thanks for following my “Walk. Freeze. Keep going. Look at each other,” instructions, you two. But most of all, thanks for including me. It was a pleasure to capture your day as it unfolded. ⁠

Agnes was the kind of focused, organized bride that wedding vendors appreciate. She knew what she wanted, and she kept course, even when the weather was uncooperative. They answered, “Natural light inside the ballroom, not an enclosed ballroom, plenty of outdoor space⁠”⁠

I concur. It’s always a treat to be at Ryland Inn. The grounds are gorgeous (and shaded) and the interior spaces are neutral, which, as a photographer, I appreciate. ⁠

I can work anywhere, but a space that enhances rather than distracts is what most of my couples are looking for. ⁠

@kponturo and @byrondelarosa’s summer wedding at @naninasinthepark was pure magic - but what made it extra special? Kayla’s party dress was a reimagined piece of her mom’s wedding gown! I’m seeing more of these heirloom touches, and I love how they add depth to a day already rich with meaning. Plus, it’s a beautiful nod to ‘something old’ and ‘something borrowed’ - and Im almost pretty sure a little ‘something blue’ wasn’t far behind.

“Jenny brings the structure. And Kevin brings enthusiasm for the plan and faith that it’ll all work out.⁠

Even with this compatibility, they didn’t rush. When they met, Kevin was in grad school and working incredibly hard. Jenny respected how committed he was… so much that she decided to go back to school herself.⁠

They got a cat named Emerald. They moved in together. Jenny made Kevin go on an Omakase date - more than one. They went to Disney. They even had a chicken-and-rice-and-broccoli meal-prep contest that Kevin definitely won. ⁠

And somewhere in all of that… the everyday living, the moving, the cat, the Sopranos rewatches, the deadlines Jenny sets… somewhere in all of that, they knew: oh. This is it.”⁠
