Nikoletta loves lighthouses. In fact, there aren’t enough words in the English language that could possibly describe how much this woman loves light houses. Armed with this knowledge, Billy knew the perfect place where he would propose to his future wife-to-be: right under the George Washington Bridge. Huh? Yes – you read that right: under the George Washington Bridge. I’ve spent over a decade driving over this bridge on a semi-regular basis, and not once did I ever suspect such a thing would exist under my very nose! And of course, this wasn’t just any ordinary lighthouse – it was none other than The Little Red Light House. After hiking roughly a mile from my car to this neat little spot, I could see why I hadn’t found this place in all my years as a semi-local wedding photographer – but I’m glad that I had the opportunity to share my first experience with this wonderful couple. And in case you were wondering, Nikoletta said “Yes” when Billy proposed. Did I mention she loves lighthouses?
