When folks are being photographed for the first time, a little bit of privacy can go a long way. In metropolitan area of 10 million people however, this can be a challenging task especially in the/around the more popular parts of town. In the years that I’ve been a NYC wedding photographer, there have only been three locations in/around the city which require us to start early in the morning for the sake of some privacy. In no particular order, they’re Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park and High Line Park – and now, as it appears, we have to add Gantry Plaza into the mix. Thankfully, there aren’t too many tourists here throughout the day, and the folks who are enjoying the weather and view are actual residents of the neighborhood (which would sorta kinda make me the heedless invader). But nevertheless, Lauren & Mike are one such couple who are actual residents of the neighborhood, who also doesn’t mind the view, weather, nor the privacy of their early morning engagement session.
